Founder | Director

Alfred Lee is a landscape architect with over 20 years of professional experience leading the design and delivery of landscape architecture, master planning and urban realm projects across Asia. His work is grounded in a deep understanding of place - its ecology, culture, climate and history, resulting in landscapes that are both meaningful and enduring.

Throughout his career, Alfred has led a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, institutional and public realm projects across Singapore, Malaysia, India, the Maldives and the wider region. His expertise encompasses the full design process, from visioning and master planning to detailed design, technical coordination and construction implementation. He brings together landscape, ecology and urban systems to develop clear, buildable design solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate complex ideas into thoughtfully crafted environments.

Projects completed under his leadership at STX Landscape Architects include the award-winning NTU Yunnan Garden Redevelopment, a finalist at the 2022 World Architecture Festival.

Following 16 years at STX Landscape Architects, including eight years as Director, Alfred founded SeedWorks Creations in December 2024. The practice is dedicated to thoughtful, context-driven landscape architecture. Today, he continues to collaborate with architects, developers and institutions on projects ranging from intimate gardens to large-scale urban developments.

Alongside his professional practice, Alfred remains actively involved in education and the advancement of the profession. He has served as an External Critic at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2013 and as a Part-time Lecturer at the National University of Singapore since 2021, where he teaches Water Sensitive Urban Design. He has also served as a jury member for the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards and has been invited to speak at regional conferences, including DATUM Green, the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival and the Sabah Landscape Exchange.
