Landscape Architect

Calyn Chia is a landscape architect at SeedWorks Creations and a recent graduate of the National University of Singapore, where she completed her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in June 2026. Her involvement in practice began during her polytechnic years, including an internship with STX Landscape Architects in 2021, and continued through industry placements alongside her undergraduate studies.

Calyn’s interests lie in landscape design, visual representation and the relationship between ecological systems and the built environment. During her studies, she also served as a Teaching Assistant for NUS’s Landscape Representation module, supporting students in developing their graphic communication and design representation skills.

At SeedWorks, Calyn contributes to concept development, visual communication, technical documentation and project coordination. These responsibilities build on her academic foundation and practical exposure, helping her develop an understanding of how design ideas are refined through discussion, drawings and implementation.

Calyn brings creativity, careful attention to detail and a willingness to learn to her work. As she develops her practice, she is keen to explore how observation and research can inform design decisions, contributing fresh perspectives while learning from the people and projects around her.
